Today is "TagundNachtgleiche", so the day is exactly 12 hours long. From now on here in the northern hemisphere we're going "downhill" until christmas.
My setting today is our table in the garden, and me sitting so I have a view of our chicken coop. Earlier this afternoon I let the chickens roam free in the garden. They enjoy that the most as anyone can guess, and whenever I'm calling them back I will have to shake the bin with mealworms - and they come running! We keep the four of them mainly for therapeutical reasons for our children who love them so much. Did you know chickens love to cuddle? Ours do, at least.
So this is my first time Outdoor Typing, and I hope my neighbours don't mind the clack clack on this quiet sunny Monday afternoon. And there is another reason for this setting. This post is my submission to another "nerd" project from the gopher/geminispace. No, nothing from Google, but a different protocol for transmitting textual information. The project is called "Remote Outdoor Off-Grid Phlogging Challenge", ROOPHLOCH, and is taking place every year in September.
So I will take a picture of this text with my phone and use the OCR'ed text for transmitting via mobile data to meet the criteria. This post will be found on gemini://flo.smol.pub
I wish you all a wonderful fall season (if you're northern) or a happy spring if you're south.
And yes, this is a silhouette of Donald Duck, my favourite character.
If we didn't have chicken, I'd chosen Ducks.
